About the Artist
Priscilla Powers began her art education at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, IL. She used her creative talents as an interior designer in her own business for 25 years.
Finally realizing life was speeding by, Priscilla returned to her first love of painting in watercolor. She began taking classes and workshops, including workshops with BArbara Nechis, Frank Webb and Tom Francesconi. Priscilla studies with Dan Capobianco at the Suburban Fine Arts Center in Highland Park, IL and takes workshops and classes in Marco Island, Naples and Bonita Springs, FL.
Priscilla enjoys the freedom and beauty of working in watercolor as the flow and movement of the medium inspire her to create loose and vibrant florals, landscapes, and water scenes.
"As a painter my primary goal is to create the essence of freedom, I want the viewer to feel the adventure in my work, to respond to the vitality and excitement of nature and life" - Priscilla Powers.
Priscilla exhibits her work in outdoor shows in the Chicago area and in Naples, FL.
